Love What You Do At All Costs
When I started my entrepreneurial adventure it was a determined leap of faith. I had no idea that having my own business would be so difficult and yet so fulfilling. Not only did I develop a passion for what I do, but found true joy in working with the specific business people who were to be my clientele. I am very grateful to be doing what I love to do.
I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve learned and grown over the years, but something else happened that I had never expected. As many of you may know, my husband got laid off from a restaurant management job five years ago. He’d worked in the industry for more than 25-years. The restaurant industry is very demanding. Late and long hours, holidays, weekends, covering for short staff, and much more.
Because of the economy and our age, he’s been unable to find anyone willing to consider and pay for his experience. He went from icky job to icky job after almost three years without ANY job. During this time he took a second, part-time job in retail.
About a year ago he took that retail job from part-time to full-time. While the pay scale is still well below what he used to make, something else was beginning to take shape. His attitude and outlook has improved greatly because he really LOVES what he’s doing.
He is enjoying life more and it spills over into our lives together. It’s made me realize that even though we struggle to make ends meet, our relationship is better than ever, in no small part because he is doing something he really enjoys; a job that’s not bringing him down or overwhelming him.
Are you doing what you really LOVE? Are you overwhelmed by aspects of your job that don’t fulfill you? I highly recommend that you take some time and look at your options to get back to doing what you love to do. Learn to delegate those things that are not enjoyable to you. Consider an independent contractor, like a virtual assistant, to take those tasks off your plate.
I think you’ll be amazed at the outcome and the ability for increased success and profitability. Even beyond that, how much more you’ll enjoy life. Let us show you how with a complimentary consultation.
